G.W.A.T - Thoughts?

Hey guys!

Our organization is based on thoughts....so have you had any lately?
This blog is here so we can keep track of what's going on and document it. We have been pretty stagnant for a while now and I know that there are some good thoughts swimming around just waiting to be turned into actions. Remember, it only takes one THOUGHT to change the world. Now, what do you got? Let me know!
What about the whole "Walk for Peace: One Step at a Time" idea? I have been trying to search for contact info for David Adie and have not been successful. If somebody else finds something useful it would be great if you could let me know.

One big aspect of G.W.A.T is music and how it can be used to spread awareness very effectively. It is a very good peaceful way to be active. So, I think these videos I found on youtube pretty much go hand in hand with this, tell me what you think:

Wouldn't it be cool if we could get all the YOUNG musicians to come together in Calgary and do this? Or in Alberta, or Canada? Or even in our school. We could use it to bring attention to something here in our city. What do you think?

Hey I was thinking we could do this song and raise money or awareness for CANCER because this song was written for a cancer patient and survivor.

  2. This website has contact information at the very bottom of the page, but the page source says that it was created in 1999, so I'm guessing it might not still be accurate:

But we could probably get the information from our school (the Chaplain?).

  4. Also, that "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", is really amazing. Do you know if it would be possible to rent the DVD version anywhere?
I think that gathering local (perhaps it could be expended later), young musicians would be a great idea. It would take a lot of organization, but music is something that everyone loves, and would likely have a great turn out.
"The Remedy" is a good song, that would be fun to do, definitely!
